McDowell Center for Children, a leading provider of mental health services, is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Mental Health Technician Transporter to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Mental Health Technician Transporter will be responsible for coordinating and controlling the movement, activity, and services of adolescents in their care while transporting them. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and control the movement, activity, and services of adolescents in their care while transporting them.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment while on duty.
  • Effectively communicate with the next shift regarding the status of all adolescents.
  • Provide support and guidance to adolescents as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or related field highly preferred.
  • One-year experience working with a psychiatric resident population preferred.
  • Good driving record.
  • Valid Tennessee driver license.
Working Conditions:

Exposure to psychiatric residents who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids, and other hazardous waste. General residential treatment center environment while on McDowell Center property, typical traffic conditions while performing transport duties.
