Job Summary

St. Luke's Health System is seeking a skilled Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties, including stripping, waxing, buffing, scrubbing, shampooing, extracting, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Operate and care for specialized floor equipment, following established policies and procedures.
  • Follow a daily cleaning schedule, utilizing approved aseptic techniques and specialized cleaning processes.
  • Responsible for the safe and proper use of cleaning solutions, adhering to all safety precautions and wearing personal protective equipment when necessary.
  • Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure a sanitary environment is achieved at all times.
  • Handle moderate questions, issues, and problems, referring more complex issues to higher levels.
  • May serve as a role model and mentor to other staff members, including training.
  • Recommend process improvements to reduce overall costs.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
  • No education required.
  • 6 months of experience in a related field.
