Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Plan, assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients in the Emergency Room.
- Administer IV medications and initiate blood product transfusions in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and medications.
- Evaluate and triage patients based on clinical signs and symptoms.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Timely transcribe and process physician orders.
- Provide education to patients and families as necessary.
- Communicate clinical outcomes effectively with patients and their families.
- Utilize Meditech efficiently in daily operations.
- Coordinate patient care from admission through discharge.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members.
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Indiana or an active Compact State RN license.
- BLS certification upon hire; ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications to be obtained within the first six months of employment.
- TNCC certification to be completed within one year of hire.
