Ingredient Specialist

We are a leader in the pet care industry, with a commitment to innovation and excellence. As the Ingredient Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our ingredients.

Your responsibilities will include accurately sampling inbound grain, soft stock, liquid, frozen, and sacked ingredients arriving in bulk trucks, railcars, tankers, and trailers. You will perform physical and chemical evaluations of ingredient samples to ensure compliance with food safety, regulatory, and quality specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing shipping container inspections on all inbound ingredient shipments
• Performing physical and chemical analyses of ingredients
• Analyzing results and recommending corrections to production personnel
• Interacting with proprietary software applications
• Performing testing methods including mycotoxin testing, temperature measurements, free fatty acid, and NIR test

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in quality, food manufacturing, lab or related environment preferred
