Millwright Technician

At Snelling Staffing Services, we are seeking a skilled Millwright Apprentice to join our team. As a Millwright Apprentice, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing complex machinery, ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate engine lathes and other machinery to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
• Set up and use hand and power tools to assemble and install equipment.
• Move machinery using hoists and trucks, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.
• Perform arc welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, and oxyacetylene cutting to repair and maintain equipment.
• Align machines and equipment, using precision tools and techniques to ensure accurate placement.
• Install handrails and ladders to ensure safe access to machinery.
• Repair pumps, motors, and gearboxes to maintain equipment efficiency.
• Install supports for pipe and blowers to ensure proper airflow.
• Perform all welding repairs using arc and MIG welding techniques.
• Install air blowers to increase air conveyance of products.
• Replace electrical motors, and change gears, pulleys, and belts to maintain equipment efficiency.
• Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts.
• Use torches, limit welding, and various saws for cutting metals.
• Work with outside vendors and contractors for HVAC upgrades and repairs, and building expansion projects.
• Install and remove bearings, head and tail pulleys, motors, gearboxes, and pumps to maintain equipment efficiency.
• Assist millwrights and electricians as needed to ensure smooth operation of industrial processes.
