Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Prisma Health. As a LPN-Resident, you will have the opportunity to refine your nursing knowledge and skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend quality and core curriculum classes to enhance your nursing skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in professional development workshops and peer support groups to foster a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Successfully complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program.
  • Work under the direct and indirect supervision of the Clinical Education Team to ensure seamless patient care.
Accountabilities
  • Data Collection: Collect patient data and complete required forms with accurate responses according to unit standards.
  • Planning Care: Participate in the interdisciplinary care team to provide input on the plan of care based on nursing process and continuing care needs.
  • Implementing Care: Provide care that conforms to accepted practice standards and demonstrates understanding of age-related characteristics and needs of patients served.
  • Evaluation: Record patient care delivered as planned and any variation, with appropriate rationale.
  • Leadership: Integrate cost-effective measures into nursing practice and recognize unit problems to escalate to the RN.
Requirements
  • Completion of a LPN program recognized by the SC State Board of Nursing.
  • Licensed to practice as a LPN in South Carolina.
