Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County's efforts in affordable housing. This is a key leadership role requiring a seasoned professional with expertise in nonprofit management, fundraising, and community engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a multi-year strategic plan aligned with the organization's mission and Board priorities.
  • Cultivate a robust volunteer culture by engaging, training, and recognizing volunteer contributions.
  • Collaborate with municipalities and real estate organizations to obtain land, driving impactful initiatives that expand affordable housing access.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree in Business, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive executive leadership experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
  • Proven track record in fundraising, securing major gifts, and cultivating corporate partnerships.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
