Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Public Safety Officer to join our team. As a Corrections Officer, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the jail, including the care and custody of prisoners.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Book prisoners with the arresting officer and handle their fingerprinting and photographing.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the jail environment.
- Prepare meals for prisoners and manage food inventories.
- Coordinate with the Municipal Court Judge and staff to ensure prisoner appearances in court.
- Release prisoners and handle their personal property.
- Conduct routine inspections of the holdover and document any issues.
Qualifications
- Citizen of the United States and Missouri resident at time of appointment.
- No felony record or serious misdemeanor record.
- High school diploma or GED and prior corrections work desired.
- Valid driver's license.
