Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team at Soliant. As a key member of our educational services team, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students in an elementary school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, social-emotional functioning, and developmental levels. Interpret assessment results and provide insights to inform instructional planning, intervention strategies, and individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and behavior management strategies. Provide counseling and support services to students individually or in group settings, addressing a wide range of social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
  • Communication and Partnerships: Consult with parents, guardians, and external stakeholders to foster effective partnerships and support students' overall well-being and academic success. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including 504 meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and contribute expertise in addressing students' needs and goal-setting.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with research, best practices, and legal requirements related to school psychology and special education.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology and valid license or certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Assessment and Intervention Skills: Proficient in conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting assessment results.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Sound knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and procedures. Strong understanding of various behavioral intervention strategies and positive behavior support systems. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
  • Organizational and Communication Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
