Position Overview:

Compensation:

The Pay Rate ranges from $17.00 to $37.00 per hour, with starting rates determined by your experience and skill level.

Key Responsibilities:

At Polar Service Centers, we specialize in the repair of tank trailers. We are seeking a technician who is also a certified tank trailer inspector. Your role will include:
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems on trailers.
  • Performing tank service and repairs.
  • Working with air brake systems and conducting necessary repairs.
  • Utilizing TIG welding techniques on aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon materials.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of tanks and trailers to meet DOT standards.

Job Requirements:

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or higher.

Preferred Skills:

Demonstrated proficiency in the following areas is highly desirable:
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience in tank service and repair.
  • Knowledge of air brake systems.
  • Welding experience.
  • Ability to inspect trailers and tanks effectively.

Physical Requirements:

The role involves:
  • Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds with assistance.
  • Working in confined spaces and fitting through tank trailer manholes.
