Job Summary

The Logistics Director - Transportation Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our delivery team, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to customers. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics and transportation operations, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans to improve transportation efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Operations Management: Oversee the daily activities of the delivery team, including scheduling, routing, and inventory management.
  • Customer Service: Work closely with customers to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring prompt and courteous delivery of products.
  • Talent Development: Lead and develop a high-performing team of logistics professionals, providing coaching, training, and opportunities for growth and development.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and company policies, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the business.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7 years of experience in logistics and transportation operations, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Certifications: Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and HazMat certification.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
