Position Overview:
The Cardiac/Neurology Unit features a 28-bed telemetry setup, equipped with private patient rooms, catering to individuals requiring cardiac, neurological, and other acute care services with telemetry monitoring.
Our dedicated team manages a diverse patient demographic, ranging from young adults to seniors, necessitating keen observation and a commitment to ongoing education.
Utilizing cutting-edge technology and exceptional care, our mission is to enhance the health and quality of life for our patients.
Your Responsibilities:
- Play a crucial role in delivering recognized world-class healthcare.
- Take direct and indirect responsibility for the patient care environment.
- Provide care through collaboration with healthcare team members and the independent application of nursing practices.
- Mentor and serve as a role model for fellow healthcare team members.
- Manage and delegate care responsibilities in a safe, secure, and hygienic environment.
- Uphold respect for patient rights, dignity, values, confidentiality, and expressed needs.
- Employ evidence-based practices and information technologies while focusing on patient comfort, pain relief, and anxiety reduction.
- Operate under the Department of Nursing's guidelines and within the scope of the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
- Adhere to all TMH policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications:
Required Education:
- Associate degree in nursing.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Required Experience:
- None.
Preferred Experience:
- Two (2) or more years of RN experience.
Required Certification/License:
- Licensed as an RN in accordance with Florida's Nurse Practice Act.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited American Heart Association (AHA) instructor.
- Additional specialized life support certifications as required by the work area.
