We are seeking a compassionate Physician, Geriatrics to join our team at the VA Western New York Healthcare system. As a Geriatrician, you will be responsible for delivering primary care to patients enrolled at the WNY VA Medical Center at the Community Living Centers.
Key Responsibilities- Primary Care Delivery: Provide high-quality primary care to patients, working in collaboration with other geriatricians, geriatric nurse practitioners, and nursing staff.
- Geriatric Care Line: Be an integral member of the Geriatrics & Extended Care line, working closely with other staff members to coordinate patient care.
- Leadership Role: May be expected to cover as Medical Director of the Community Living Centers, overseeing clinical and administrative aspects of the facilities/programs.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings with clinical and administrative staff to discuss patient care.
- Supervision and Education: Supervise and educate geriatric mid-level providers, internal medicine residents, medical students, and fellows in the Community Living Centers and Home Based Primary Care settings.
Full-time position, Monday - Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including a competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases, paid time off, retirement plan, and insurance benefits.
