We are looking for a skilled Floodplain Management Specialist to join our team. As a Floodplain Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting disaster recovery efforts in Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate building and development applications within flood zones to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide expert advice to developers, builders, and government officials on floodplain regulations and sustainable rebuilding practices.
  • Analyze flood hazard data using GIS tools to inform decision-making in disaster recovery efforts.

  • Support property owners by assisting with elevation certificates and NFIP permitting processes.
  • Collaborate with local authorities to revise and enforce floodplain management plans and maps.
