We are seeking a proficient Facilities Maintenance Specialist to oversee the upkeep of our hotel and its equipment.

As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, your responsibilities will include the installation of new machinery, performing regular maintenance, and diagnosing equipment issues on-site.

You may also be tasked with the removal of outdated equipment and providing training to staff on the proper operation of machinery.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Approaching all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly and service-oriented manner, maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Fostering a supportive work atmosphere by calmly addressing and resolving conflicts.
  • Conducting regular patrols of the hotel’s interior and exterior to identify potential security and safety hazards.
  • Ensuring the safety and comfort of guests by managing emergency situations such as fires, safety threats, and other urgent matters with composure and clarity.
  • Inspecting machinery, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
  • Servicing and replacing outdated or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Dismantling old equipment and installing new devices.
  • Offering technical assistance and training on new machinery.
  • Staying informed about relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Memorizing and monitoring the life safety systems, including the layout of the building and locations of safety equipment, and completing necessary reports.
  • Providing accurate information to guests regarding directions and operational hours.
  • Assisting guests with issues related to door locks and in-room safes.
  • Addressing guest complaints and conducting thorough research to find effective solutions.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in customer service is necessary, preferably in the hospitality sector.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to effectively communicate with guests and team members.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A collaborative team player.
