Position Overview
We seek a Quantitative Desk Analyst in our Evanston office to join the Systematic Investing team. The analyst will be responsible for research and trading elements associated with systematic investment strategies, working within various markets, instruments, and strategies.
Responsibilities
- Trade execution and portfolio monitoring, including identification of aberrations for exploration and resolution.
- Data quality checks on pre-open and early open basis, with ongoing monitoring throughout the day.
- Broad statistical and exploratory analysis on data sets under consideration for research and development.
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines in support of investment strategies.
- Back-testing and optimizing strategies using historical data to ensure robustness and reliability.
- Evaluating and improving existing trading models and strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related technical fields. 1-2 years of work experience is acceptable; 2-5 years of work experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in quantitative trading or a related field, including familiarity with associated workflows and algorithms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
- Experience with factor modeling and portfolio optimization.
- Familiarity with reading, interpreting, scripting, and data processing using Matlab and Python.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a high-functioning environment.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
