Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Thompson Pipe Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and submitting bids for projects related to the manufacturing and supplying of precast pipe, box culverts, manholes, and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit bids for projects, ensuring accurate and complete estimates
  • Maintain and improve estimating procedures and processes to support the estimating and proposal cycle
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and market trends
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project coordination teams to ensure accurate and timely bid submissions
Requirements
  • High level of knowledge and experience in estimating for proposals of manufactured steel and concrete pipe
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Ability to produce accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings
  • Ability to assess site exposures and construction risks and reflect these in an estimate
  • Ability to identify constructability issues and value-engineering alternatives
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a strong business, construction management, and delivery methodologies background
  • Mental requirements, including knowledge and ability to read plans and specifications
