Firefighter Paramedic

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as Firefighter Paramedics in the Forest Park Fire Department. As a Firefighter Paramedic, you will be responsible for performing fire suppression and prevention duties, assessing and treating acutely ill and injured citizens, and participating in Fire/EMS training and station maintenance.

• Perform fire suppression and prevention duties, including responding to emergency calls and conducting fire inspections.
• Assess and treat acutely ill and injured citizens, including administering medical care and transporting patients to medical facilities.
• Participate in Fire/EMS training and station maintenance, including operating emergency fire apparatus and equipment.
• Perform rescue procedures, including extricating patients from emergency situations.
• Conduct public education programs in Fire or EMS related subjects, including fire safety and emergency preparedness.

• High School graduate or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Professional Firefighter Certification.
• Paramedic Certification at time of appointment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts, define problems, and interpret technical instructions.
• Ability to assess, plan, organize, and execute essential job functions without constant supervision.
