Job Title: Emergency Care Technician

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Care Technician to join our team at AMR. As a key member of our EMS team, you will be responsible for providing life-saving care to patients in need.

About the Role

The Emergency Care Technician will be responsible for assessing emergency situations and delivering advanced medical care using various equipment. This includes leading emergency response teams, ensuring effective communication with patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
  • Utilize your medical skills on medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, and suction devices, to provide advanced medical care.
  • Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
  • Act as team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
  • Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Emergency Care Technicians.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • CA Drivers' License
  • Ambulance Driver's License from DMV
  • Medical Examiner's Card from DMV
  • State of California Paramedic License
  • CPR Card (American Heart Association ONLY, Health Care Provider)
  • ACLS Card (American Heart Association ONLY)
  • Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy
  • ICS courses (IS-100B, IS-200B, IS-700A, IS-800B)

As an Emergency Care Technician at AMR, you can expect a competitive salary of $35,001 per year, based on a 12-hour shift and average 20 hours per week.
