About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our development team, focusing on building the next generation of patient-facing applications. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with frontend developers and UX designers to drive innovation, establish best practices, and lay the foundation for an exceptional new Design System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and contribute individually to code and system design/development as part of a team.
  • Collaborate inclusively with cross-functional team members to develop solutions and promote productivity and effectiveness.
  • Take ownership of what the team builds and coordinate efforts to ensure proper adoption.
  • Develop knowledge to act as a domain expert; share business and technical insights with the broader engineering and product organization.
  • Mentor, coach, advise, and lead engineering team members.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with significant product development expertise.
  • Proven track record of building Design Systems from the ground up or significant contributions to enterprise-level Design Systems.
  • Extensive web application development experience with focus on the Frontend (e.g., MicroUI architecture, responsive designs).
  • Proficient with the JavaScript/Typescript and React framework (including concepts like hooks, contexts, refs, etc.).
  • Proficient in CSS (knowledge of layouts, responsiveness, accessibility, etc.).
  • Ability to write code that is technically sound, performant, scalable, and readable.
  • Ability to lead teams/technical projects including technical design, scoping, and estimation.
  • Strong communication skills with a variety of audiences.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins along with git, bitbucket, and other source code repositories.
  • Experience in testing framework (e.g., Jest, Cypress) and GraphQL.
