We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our Sports Medicine Team as an Outreach Program Specialist. The successful candidate will provide medical coverage for collegiate and professional sports events, working closely with our team to ensure the highest level of care for athletes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide athletic training services to collegiate and professional sports events, including injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.
- Work collaboratively with our Sports Medicine Team to ensure seamless medical coverage and excellent customer service.
- Develop and implement injury prevention programs for athletes, including education and training on proper techniques and safety protocols.
- Conduct clinical evaluations and assessments to determine the effectiveness of treatment programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement return-to-play protocols for athletes with injuries or illnesses.
- Maintain accurate records of treatment and injury reports, and provide regular updates to our team and stakeholders.
- Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- Current certification as a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Athletic Trainer in a collegiate or professional sports setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
This is a full-time position, with set hours that may vary depending on departmental needs. Some night and weekend work may be required. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and a high level of situational awareness.
Physical RequirementsThis position requires the ability to stand for long periods, walk, and lift up to 20 pounds. The successful candidate will also be required to work in a variety of environments, including athletic fields and training rooms.
