Bellman Assistant

Job Summary

The Bellman is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by handling luggage, delivering newspapers and guest accounts, and maintaining a clean and safe environment at the hotel entrance.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload carts with guest luggage
• Deliver newspapers and guest accounts to rooms
• Keep curbs clear of cars at the doors
• Shine the bell carts and shoes
• Post functions on the reader board
• Escort guests to rooms and explain amenities and safety procedures
• Check and store luggage for arrivals and departures

Requirements

• A valid driver's license
• Open availability
• Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
• Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Fairmont standards
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent guest interactions.
