About the Role

Cortica is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join its multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children with neurodevelopmental differences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and implement individualized speech and language treatment goals through dynamic and standardized assessment tools.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to create comprehensive treatment plans and integrative strategies.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions, as well as group and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documentation, and billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy.
  • Develop and implement play-based and goal-based interventions to enhance receptive and expressive language skills, taking into account individual sensory processing, regulation, and motor differences.
  • Facilitate functional and stimulating experiences to target and achieve individualized goals.
  • Develop strategies and supports to help individuals engage in communication experiences across settings.
  • Collaborate with individuals and families to understand their values, interests, and goals.
  • Implement programming that considers all aspects of the individual, including sensorimotor, cognitive, communicative, recreational, and social activities.
  • Contribute to program development and implementation.
  • Educate patients, families, team members, and caregivers on home programs that complement treatment.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Licensure to practice as a Speech and Language Pathologist in the state of California.
  • Excellent clinical skills and experience working with children.
  • A passion for working in a multidisciplinary clinical setting.
  • Flexibility and openness to learning and adapting to new approaches.
  • An appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.
