Position Summary
The Butcher Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the meat department meets the company's operational standards, driving sales and enhancing profitability. This role emphasizes delivering outstanding customer service and satisfaction by adhering to the company's meat merchandising strategies and preparing standard cuts of meat as specified in the Meat Cutter Resource Manual.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilizes knives and power tools to cut and package authorized beef, pork, and poultry in accordance with company policies.
  • Prepares and displays meat products attractively in the counter to enhance customer appeal.
  • Assists in inventory management and product ordering.
  • Receives, inspects, and stores meat deliveries to uphold quality and maintain the cold chain.
  • Ensures compliance with sanitation and quality standards daily, in line with company policies.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Preferred experience in safely operating manual pallet jacks, hand tools, and power equipment, including knives, wrappers, scales, slicers, cubing machines, and power saws (certification in meat cutting is a plus).
  • Ability to regularly lift weights of up to 30 lbs.
