MedPro Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Long Term Acute Care for an exciting opportunity.
Position OverviewAs a vital member of the healthcare team, the Long Term Acute Care Nurse (RN) will provide exceptional care to patients requiring prolonged medical attention.
Key Responsibilities- Manage care for 5-6 patients in a dynamic environment.
- Administer medications through various methods including IV, and educate patients and families on health management.
- Monitor specialized equipment and interpret telemetry readings, promptly notifying the medical team of any irregularities.
- Perform essential nursing duties, including starting IVs and drawing blood.
- Care for patients with complex conditions such as pulmonary hypertension, respiratory failure, and congestive heart failure.
- Active RN License required.
- Degree from an accredited nursing program.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- Minimum of 18 months recent experience in a Long Term Acute Care setting.
- Proficiency in handling ventilators, tracheostomies, and intravenous drips.
