Job Summary

The City of Raleigh, NC is seeking a qualified Lifeguard to join our team. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of pool patrons and providing a positive experience for all users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.
  • Monitor pool areas and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Provide customer service and respond to patron inquiries.
  • Participate in regular training and in-service sessions to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with other lifeguards and pool staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Requirements
  • Certification in Lifeguarding and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a lifeguard or in a related field.
  • Knowledge of pool operations and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
