We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in Altoona, Pennsylvania, and enjoy a high-paying salary of $130,000 per year.
About the JobThe ideal candidate for this position will have 1 year of recent acute care experience and be certified as an ARRT (R) National Certification holder. They should also possess a strong understanding of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques, as well as knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, your responsibilities will include confirming patient identification, reviewing imaging requests, and explaining procedures to patients. You will also be responsible for assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures, and preparing and observing patients undergoing these procedures.
In addition to your clinical skills, you should be able to maintain accurate patient records and understand how to operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps. Familiarity with the McKesson PACS system is also preferred.
Required Skills and Qualifications- ARRT (R) National Certification
- BLS, ACLS, and state-specific licensing when required
- Vascular Interventional certificate preferred
