Position Overview: This role involves collaboration with medical professionals to evaluate the health requirements of patients in the emergency department.Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical assessments and document findings.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, relaying results to physicians.
- Prescribe medications and suggest alternative treatment options.
- Utilize advanced knowledge and experience to navigate a variety of medical conditions in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to exercise creativity and independent judgment.
- Act as a consultant and educator for patients and healthcare staff.
- Engage in leadership and program development to enhance patient care.
- Master's degree from an accredited advanced nursing program or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited physician assistant program.
- Minimum of two years of experience in emergency or urgent care settings is preferred.
- Current Kansas Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) license or Kansas Physician Assistant (PA-C) license.
- National certification relevant to the clinical practice area is preferred.
