We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planner to join our team at voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for organizing production according to demand and quality standards, ensuring the smooth and cost-efficient flow of production operations.
Key Responsibilities- Safety: Adhere to all safety rules and set an example for others while working in the yard and production areas.
- Quality: Generate all work orders for all areas of the plant, bring in design bills-of-material and routings to the plant level, and review with drawings for accuracy.
- On-Time Delivery: Maintain production schedules, maintain SAP Capacity Planning Expectations, track raw rail availability, and quickly work to correct any potential shortages.
- Cost: Do cost roll-ups, review old and create new routings.
- People: Work cooperatively with shop floor personnel.
- Environmental: Adhere to Nortrak's Environmental Procedures, Practices, and Policies.
- Education: High School graduate or GED preferred, post-secondary education or certification is preferred.
- Field of Experience: Minimum 3+ years production planning experience, experienced in production planning and quality control principles, experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning), proficient at math and statistics, and strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or climbing, must be able to lift or handle up to 25 pounds at times, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
