Research Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Clinical Investigator to join our team at Lifespan. As a key member of our research team, you will play a vital role in the identification, recruitment, and follow-up of patients participating in clinical research projects.
About the Job:
- Work closely with research physicians to identify patients meeting criteria for involvement in specific clinical investigation studies.
- Develop and maintain accurate records for each participant, abstracting pertinent information from medical records.
- Monitor adherence to protocols, reviewing patient records and data collection sheets.
- Evaluate patient response to treatment and alert appropriate members of the healthcare and/or research team to any abnormalities or problems.
- Maintain a professional level of knowledge in nursing to assess patients' eligibility for study inclusion and to assess response to treatment.
Requirements:
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- At least one year of on-the-job experience as a staff nurse in an area related to the specific research project.
- Up to three months of on-the-job training to become familiar with research projects.
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
