Dental Care Specialist Job Description
This position will perform professional dental work in the supervision, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of dental diseases, injuries, and/or deformities.
The successful candidate will examine patients, utilize x-rays, mirrors, explorers, and other diagnostic procedures and instruments to provide patient care and complete necessary medical records.
This position is at the Iowa State Penitentiary Health Care Unit, where the candidate will work with a diverse and inclusive team to provide exceptional care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care and treatment
- Complete medical records and reports
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality care
Requirements:
- Licensure as a dentist issued by the Board of Dental Examiners of the Iowa Department of Health
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
