About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant-Certified to join our team at Samaritan Healthcare. As a Medical Assistant-Certified, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist providers and other healthcare team members with various tasks to ensure a smooth patient workflow.
  • Perform a range of patient care procedures, including injections, EKGs, ear lavage, and blood draws, as well as measuring patient vital signs.
  • Manage rooming and patient flow, including pre-visit preparation, assisting with patient visits, and post-visit duties.
  • Inform providers of schedule changes that impact patient flow.
  • Conduct and administer various tests, including pregnancy tests, occult blood tests, hematocrits, and glucose monitoring.
  • Assist with suture removal, wound packing, and simple dressings.
  • Notify patients of test results and call in prescription refills as requested by providers.
  • Perform clerical responsibilities to support the overall operations of the clinic.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Active license in the State of Washington as a Medical Assistant-Certified.
  • Current (Healthcare Provider [HCP] level) CPR certification.
  • Experience working in a clinic setting providing support to providers in medical specialties preferred.
