Staff Nurse Role at Soldiers Grove Health Services

Soldiers Grove Health Services is a leading provider of skilled nursing and rehabilitation in your community. We are part of the North Shore Healthcare family, with 70 skilled nursing and assisted living centers located throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, and North Dakota.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Unit Manager/ADON/DON, the RN/LPN assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of residents/patients for a shift of duty. Nursing care is provided through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to residents/patients through assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care.
  • Manage the environment to maintain resident/patient safety.
  • Supervise the resident/patient care activity performance by nursing assistants and helpers.
  • Follow all North Shore's policies and procedures.
  • Perform duties as defined by the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Follow JCAHO standards where applicable.

Requirements:

  • Licensed in the State as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Must have and maintain current CPR certification.
  • Able to use necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Able to calculate drug dosage.
  • Meets all health requirements imposed by law.
  • Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other center staff.
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Demonstrated basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous post-acute care experience preferred.
