Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Joint Base Andrews. As a key member of our medical services team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain information from patients and their families to identify major complaints, symptoms, or reasons for seeking healthcare.
  • Perform initial patient work-ups to assess patient care and treatment.
  • Take vital signs, perform behavioral health screenings, and provide individualized nursing care to patients of all ages.
  • Assist physicians with various examinations and diagnostic procedures.
  • Screen and review immunization records, administer immunizations, and perform routine procedures such as EKGs and wound care.
  • Teach patients and their families about self-care procedures and document teaching.
  • Complete required records and ensure the highest standards of professional practice and ethics are maintained.
Requirements
  • A current license to practice as a practical/vocational nurse in a State or territory of the United States or District of Columbia.
  • One year of nursing experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical, nursing, or patient care facility.
