Key Responsibilities- Develop ITS Concepts and Solutions: Design and implement ITS concepts and solutions for transportation-related projects, ensuring they meet the needs of our clients and align with industry best practices.
- Lead Design of Data Networks: Oversee the design of data networks, including fiber/wireless/hybrid communication networks, to ensure seamless data transmission and efficient system operation.
- Project Management: Manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Technical Specifications and Documentation: Prepare technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates, ensuring clarity and accuracy in all documentation.
- ITS Architecture Standards: Develop and maintain ITS architecture standards, ensuring consistency and alignment with industry standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and delegate work tasks to multi-discipline project staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Supervise work efforts and provide quality control checks to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Communication and Reporting: Write reports, deliver presentations, and communicate concepts and deliverables to clients, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning for the development and marketing of ITS and Advanced Mobility services, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Provide mentoring and guidance to staff regarding technical components of ITS, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Participation in Staff Meetings and Project Coordination: Participate in regular staff meetings and project coordination meetings, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in civil/transportation engineering, electrical engineering, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university preferred. 6 years minimum experience desired, including ITS engineering, transportation planning/engineering, data science, software development, and computer networking.
- Certifications and Licenses: Professional Engineer license and accredited fiber optic certifications preferred.
Felsburg Holt & Ullevig offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $88,000 - $113,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical/RX, HSA, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as generous vacation and sick leave programs, 401(k) with employer match and discretionary profit sharing, adoption assistance program, flexible schedules, and professional and career development opportunities.
