Under the guidance of a radiologist and the Lead CT Technologist, this role is responsible for executing imaging procedures on a multi-detector CT scanner. The individual will be accountable for adhering to scanning and imaging protocols. A strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy is essential, along with the ability to perform CT angiographies and administer contrast media when necessary. This position emphasizes delivering exceptional service while adhering to hospital policies and procedures. Proficiency in utilizing RIS/PACS and HIS systems for accurate patient exam documentation and result dissemination is required.

Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience Requirements

  • Recent hospital-related experience, ideally up to one year
  • Experience with Digital Imaging and PACS post-processing

Licenses and Certifications Required

  • Current Vermont state RT license
  • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
  • 24 ECE credits required for re-certification and licensure within a two-year timeframe
  • CT certification by ARRT or the commitment to obtain it within one year of employment

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Ability to provide care tailored to the physical and psychosocial development and safety needs of patients across all age groups, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
  • Demonstrated moderate proficiency in basic computer skills.

Compensation Range = $43.30
