About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Good Shepherd Health Care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their optimal level of function and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, administer, and implement therapeutic services to help patients regain their optimal level of function in daily activities
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordination of the plan of care
  • Provide education and direction to patients and coworkers as needed
  • Conduct assessments and make decisions based on objective tests and measurements
Working Conditions
  • Work in a variety of settings, including patient homes and healthcare facilities
  • Exposure to infection, contagious disease, and hazardous materials and equipment
  • Subject to variable noise levels, rapid pace, and unpredictable environment
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to perceive sounds, express ideas through spoken word, and perceive characteristics of objects through eyes
  • Must be able to extend arms and hands, seize, hold, grasp, turn, or work with hands
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing up to 25 pounds
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Two years of experience as an occupational therapist
  • Licensed by the State of Oregon as an Occupational Therapist
  • Valid driver's license and current certification in BLS
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Current knowledge of occupational therapy as related to physical disability and rehabilitation procedures
