Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our Outpatient Pharmacy team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation, distribution, and control of medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute sterile and non-sterile oral and injectable medications, including specialty medications.
  • Participate in departmental programs and initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Work independently under the supervision of a pharmacist to perform various tasks and duties.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
  • Individuals must be able to do calculations involving ratios, proportions, and percentages.
  • Adequate computer skills as necessary to complete assigned projects and tasks.
  • Ability to rotate shifts, alternate weekends, and rotate throughout any areas requiring Pharmacy Technician.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, occasional sitting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Lifting of materials up to 40 pounds for distances to 10 feet.
  • Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices.
  • Sufficient mobility to access equipment, patients, and other customers.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
