Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Playa Largo Resort & Spa. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and respond to security incidents.
  • Conduct regular checks of hotel facilities and services to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Handle deliveries and packages received during non-business hours, following hotel procedures.
  • Investigate duress alarms and respond to emergency situations.
  • Patrol the property with specified equipment, checking all designated points and documenting actions.
  • Ensure all guest room doors are secured and assist guests with room access as needed.
  • Respond to guest/employee accidents and comply with departmental procedures.
  • Comply with state regulations and company guidelines for handling intoxicated guests.
  • Report incidents and document specified information.
  • Provide interdepartmental assistance and support to ensure optimum service to guests.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent; college degree or vocational training a plus.
  • Minimum 1-year prior experience in a similar position dealing with the general public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and courtesy.
  • Ability to endure physical demands of the job.
  • Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of guest and employee information.
  • Ability to enforce hotel standards, policies, and procedures.
