We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our team at the University of Miami. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research activities, authoring scientific publications, and collaborating with senior staff to publish findings in refereed journals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct basic and applied research activities, including designing, performing, and analyzing experiments.
- Author scientific publications, technical reports, and patent preparations.
- Collaborate with senior staff to publish findings in refereed journals.
- Develop and implement research projects, including collecting and analyzing data.
- Prepare and submit proposals to government and local agencies to secure funding.
- Manage and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of research data.
- Collaborate with other researchers to develop and implement research projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with government and local agencies to secure funding and resources.
- Ph.D. or M.D. degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in research and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
