Job Summary

This position is located at Family and Morale Welfare Recreation - Operations, where you will serve as an Operations Support Specialist under the direction of the DFMWR. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing technical safety codes, risk assessments, and safety requirements for various operations, including OSHA compliance and DOD safety and health standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement technical safety codes, risk assessments, and safety requirements for various operations, including OSHA compliance and DOD safety and health standards.
  • Advise supervisors and managers on matters involving accident and fire prevention, and perform composite risk management.
  • Responsible for the annual safety inspection and follow-up of deficiencies.
Requirements
  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier III background investigation.
  • Must be able to complete the FEMA online courses (within six (6) months of employment).
  • Incumbent will be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Call back and emergency duty may be required.
Qualifications

Progressive work experience directly related to the duties to be performed is required. Preferred are those candidates who have knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations, OPSEC, Anti-Terrorism (level 1 & 2), Force Protection & JPAS.
