Part-time Position, 24 hours/week

Shift: 7am-7:30pm

Work Environment: Onsite


Overview:

The Patient Care Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the quality of patient care delivered by nursing personnel during their designated shift.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Acts as a vital member of the management team; possesses a comprehensive understanding of the business landscape, financial metrics, industry standards, clientele, and strategic objectives.

2. Oversees nursing staff, offering guidance, coaching, training, and performance management aligned with organizational goals.

3. Develops, manages, and adheres to the departmental budget to ensure financial accountability.

4. Ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care through effective oversight of nursing activities during the assigned shift.

5. Conducts rounds in patient care areas to assess patient conditions, evaluate staffing requirements, and provide support to caregivers.

6. Engages with relevant Nursing Management personnel regarding any situations that may significantly affect patients, staff, or the healthcare facility.

7. Makes informed decisions and appropriately communicates with the Administrator on call in the absence of the Hospital Administrator or their designee.

8. Collaborates with nursing and hospital support services to maintain operational efficiency within the hospital and patient care units.

9. Contributes to the nursing profession and the hospital's mission through support of its philosophy, educational initiatives, and research activities. Upholds hospital and nursing policies, procedures, and standards.

10. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Additional Information:
Technical Skills:
1. Required experience in clinical pediatrics.

2. Proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.

3. Preferred experience in the healthcare sector.

4. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar applications is required.

Education and Qualifications:
1. Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

2. Required: Current nursing license in the State of Ohio. Current Health Care Provider BLS certification is mandatory. PALS, NRP, ACLS, or TNCC certifications are preferred.

3. Preferred: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

4. Preferred: 0 to 2 years of supervisory experience.
