Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities
  • Certification and Licensure
    • Current BLS and ARRT certifications are required.
    • Additional certifications may be required based on unit specifics.
  • Job Requirements
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in MRI technology.
    • Traveler experience is accepted.
    • Proficiency in operating MRI equipment, including abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion, gradient echo imaging, and other related modalities.
    • Familiarity with GE and Siemens equipment.
    • Ability to work with patients of all ages, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Schedule and Shifts
    • 4x8 hour shifts, with nights from Tuesday to Friday.
    • Contract duration of 13 weeks or more is preferred.
    • Maximum RTO of 7 days.
    • No call or float requirements.
    • No weekend work is required.
  • Unit Orientation and Training
    • Unit orientation will be provided on the first day of employment.
    • Travelers must be available for classes each day during the first week of employment.

  • Skills and Certifications
    • Familiarity with abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion, gradient echo imaging, and other related modalities.
    • Experience with chest and image post-processing is preferred.
  • Equipment and Systems
    • Proficiency in operating GE and Siemens equipment.
