Traveling Operating Room Nurse

Hours: Variable, as caseload dictates (typically 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Virtus Healthcare Staffing, LLC is partnering with a leading hospital in King City, CA to recruit a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for their Operating Room (OR). This is an excellent opportunity to utilize your surgical nursing expertise in a dynamic environment and contribute to the successful completion of various procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians, to ensure optimal patient outcomes during surgical procedures.
- Perform pre-operative assessments, including obtaining medical histories, administering medications, and preparing patients for surgery.
- Circulate in the operating room, managing supplies and equipment, monitoring patient status, and documenting care.
- Assist with post-operative care, including monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and providing patient education.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in the state of California or a compact state license.
- A minimum of 1 year of recent OR experience is preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
