Job Title: Veterinary Assistant

At Southern Veterinary Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering top-notch medical services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate care to our patients and clients
  • Perform various medical tasks, including venipuncture, electrocardiograms, and radiographs
  • Assist with surgical and interventional procedures
  • Monitor vital signs of anesthetized patients
  • Administer medications and prepare prescriptions
  • Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other team members
  • Maintain accurate medical records and perform administrative tasks
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 18 years old
  • Minimum two years of experience as a veterinary assistant (desirable but not required)
  • Computer knowledge required, including MS Word, Excel, and Google Drive
