Server Ambassador

Role Summary

As a Server at Bluebird, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional guest experiences that align with our core values. You will be responsible for delivering precise, urgent, and engaged service while maintaining a deep knowledge of our products. This role requires a unique blend of salesmanship, professionalism, and passion for food and beverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough understanding of our menus and communicate them accurately to guests.

• Take orders from guests for food and/or beverages, ensuring accurate and clear communication.

• Collaborate with the service team to ensure seamless service flow, anticipating guest needs and resolving any issues that may arise.

• Maintain a strong presence table-side, anticipating the needs of guests and coworkers alike.

• Ensure proper alcohol service by maintaining a working knowledge of NC State law, identification, and intoxication levels.

• Cultivate relationships with guests, building rapport with regulars and identifying VIPs to communicate with managers.

• Balance cash receipts, closing out CC tips accurately and presenting finalized checks to managers.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required.

• Multiple years of experience in fine dining or casual fine dining.

• Mid to upper-level wine training, knowledge, and experience.

• Proficiency with Point of Sale software.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking under pressure.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
