Job Title: Make Ready

At RPM Living, we're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Make Ready professional to join our team. As a Make Ready, you will be responsible for ensuring that our apartment units are thoroughly prepared for new residents, meeting our high standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Follow a comprehensive make-ready checklist to complete necessary repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in.
  • Inspect and repair sheetrock, caulk and seal windows, sink areas, toilets, bathtubs, and showers, and perform touch-up paint.
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for make-ready tasks.
  • Cut expenses by fixing rather than replacing parts, and avoiding being wasteful with supplies.
  • Assist with property curb appeal by picking up trash, pressure-washing, performing general cleaning, and painting, as needed.
  • Comply with safety and risk-management policies by participating in safety meetings, OSHA training, and other safety-related laws and requirements, and by reporting accidents and incidents promptly and accurately.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service by treating residents and others with respect and completing assigned work with efficiency and urgency.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance or a related field, preferred.
  • General knowledge in a variety of skilled trades, including construction/installation, repair, and maintenance, drywall, basic carpentry, and make-ready.
  • HVAC experience a plus but not required.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment:

This role is based on-site primarily indoors but may require that the employee spend some time outside with exposure to the elements.

May require working in confined spaces, heights, and potentially hazardous areas.
