Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital: A Leader in Mental Health Treatment

We are committed to providing exceptional mental health and substance use treatment to our patients and their families. Our team of experienced clinicians is dedicated to delivering high-quality care in a supportive and compassionate environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and substance use assessments to determine social service needs, diagnosis, and plan of care.
  • Evaluate patient data to develop and implement a plan of care for each patient.
  • Participate in weekly plan of care meetings and work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Document treatment provided to patients in their medical records.
  • Complete all reports for suspected abuse as legally mandated and consistently inform supervisors.
  • Provide individual patient and family therapy, crisis intervention, and group therapy.
  • Communicate with family members and caretakers regarding patient needs and anticipated plans.
  • Arrange for an appropriate discharge plan for each patient, including follow-up with a psychiatrist, therapist, and any housing or residential needs as recommended by the psychiatrist.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Current Nevada license (or intern license) as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Professional Counselor.
  • CPR prior to completion of new hire orientation.
  • CPI prior to completion of new hire orientation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of inpatient clinical work with experience in diagnosis, psychotherapy, and assessment-based treatment planning.
  • Basic knowledge of human growth and development.
  • Maintains current knowledge of social, medical, and psychiatric services available within the community.
  • Experience with therapeutic limit-setting or an understanding of level systems or other behavior management modalities.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
