Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Child Care Educator to join our team at Quality Time Child Care & Preschool in Suffolk, VA. This full-time or part-time position involves creating a nurturing environment that promotes the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of young children.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
  • Plan engaging curriculum for assigned classes.
  • Implement daily schedules with the assistance of colleagues.
  • Develop creative lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles.
  • Assist children during meals and engage in conversations.
  • Maintain accurate records of child progress and development.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in child care or early childhood education is preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
  • A strong understanding of child development principles and practices.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is required.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check and health screening.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field is desired.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include paid time off after six months of employment and opportunities for professional growth and development.
