Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Leverage the right design patterns, algorithms, and Java frameworks to develop scalable, robust applications that meet business requirements.
  • Agile Development: Work within an agile development lifecycle focusing on business outcomes and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Automation and CI/CD: Build automation to support a continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipeline to production, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal downtime.
  • Community Engagement: Contribute to the wider engineering community by sharing designs, ideas, and experience of Java frameworks, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills: Strong, demonstratable development experience in Java and/or other Java Virtual Machine (JVM) languages, with a focus on Spring (especially Spring Boot) and REST experience.
  • Additional Skills: React/Angular or another JavaScript framework experience, TDD and BDD experience, CI/CD frameworks (such as Jenkins) and build tools (gradle, maven) experience, containerized (Docker, Kubernetes) or cloud experience (GCP), and optional experience with Kotlin and Scala.
